Covid-19 Pandemic. Following the recent Government advice - with much regret we have decided that the responsible thing to do is to close our Abbey Church, Guest House, and Grounds for the foreseeable future.  The Sisters are still celebrating the Divine Office at the usual times.  We are keeping you all in our Prayer.

A sponsored Walk is planned to take place in aid of our nursing home Henry Nihill House please support us by donating.

"Before all things, care must be taken of the sick ....."

[Rule of St Benedict ch 36]

We are a small community of women living out the Gospel values in the Benedictine tradition and through our dedication to stand at the Cross of Jesus with Mary his Mother, we seek to serve Christ in one another, in the care of the sick and poor, and in ministering to Abbey guests and those who live around us.

Our Benedictine Life

The spirit of St. Benedict’s Rule is summed up in the motto of the Benedictine Confederation: pax (“peace”) and the traditional ora et labora (“pray and work”). A balanced life in the modern world.

Abbey Church

"I thank you Lord with all my heart,
you have heard the words of my mouth.
In the presence of the angels I will bless you.
I will adore you before your holy temple."
[Psalm 137]
